SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed in regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a large inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sassa sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
